Team Leader K6VVA, Rick, is a member
of the ARRL, FOC (First Class CW Operators Club), A-1 Op
Club, Northern California Contest Club ( a co- founder), Rotary
International and Screen Actors Guild.
Rick had 20m Top World Score in the
2009 ARRL CW DX Contest operating as VP2VVA (NA-023), a Top Ten
Score in the 2004 event as KP2CW (NA-106) and has operated from
NA-041 as K6VVA/KL7 and KL8C (Rick is Trustee of
the Last Frontier Contest Club). Mike/K9AJ joined with Rick for
the helicopter reactivation of NA-178 in 2006 as K6VVA/6, and
their friendship has led to another IOTA Expediton together and
first time activation of IOTA NA-242.
Rick has been licensed for more than 50 years,
and holds an FCC Extra Class License.

is a member of the American Radio Relay League, "VEC" (Volunteer
Examiner Cooordinator) and a Director of IREF (Island Radio
Expedition Foundation, Inc.).
