The CQP 2008 Kings County Expedition "Odd Couple" (K6VVA & NI6T)

All the equipment "Miraculously" fit onto the small table in the room

Garry/NI6T kicking some CQP Butt (or calling CQ, CQ, CQ ...)

Fortunately neither the backup rig & PS or First Aid kit were needed

Aerial view site plan of our antenna farm at the motel ("X" = The Shack)

Enhanced inverted vee wires view from a ground perspective

Enhanced inverted vee wires view from a ground perspective II

The creative workaround after 4+ hours of troubleshooting

A bit ugly but ya gotta do what ya gotta do sometimes

The Sigma 5 ended up not being used but was on "Stand-By"

Garry's soldering skills were constantly in demand

The non-resonance problems were completely "baffling" ;-(

Garry was our technical "Rock" for the expedition

And our chief ladder climber putter upper guy

The other anchor point for the 80m inverted vee

This garbage area fence secured one 40m wire end

The other end went to an upstairs balcony railing

Our outdoor manual coax switching system

Under the motel office doormat & off toward the "shack"

Through the side gate to the "shack" window

Fortunately we had parking right in front of the "shack"

The "Handicapped" sign on the door seemed appropriate for us :^)

Damage from a previous attempted break-in to Room 130

My favorite photo of our trip --- The Kings County "CQP TROLL" :^)

Tnx for participating in CQP 2008, and Tnx for all the Q's.
